NEW RE (ARE1_C90) Series High Frequency Signal Relays
New RE (ARE_C90) Series High Frequency Signal Relays Offer Improved Isolation Characteristics At Higher Level Frequencies
Panasonic, a worldwide leader in Relay Products, introduces the NEW RE (ARE1_C90) Series High Frequency Signal Relays product line. The New RE Series Relays are 2.6 GHz Capable, 10W carrying power (at 2.6 GHz), 50Ω/75Ω Impedance And 1Form C Relays. Replacing the Panasonic Not Recommended For New Design standard RE Series Relays, the “C90” suffix type have been added to the product line as suggested replacements.
Mechanical Signal Relays (2A or Less)
AGQ Series TH Type Signal Relays
New AGQ Series TH Type Signal Relays With 3.5A High Inrush Capability
Panasonic, a worldwide leader in Relay Products, introduces the NEW AGQ Series TH Type Signal Relays product line. These low profile Signal Relays have the same Through-Hole and Surface Mount form factor as Panasonic’s existing AGQ Series Signal Relays, but provide a 3.5A Inrush Capability.
Thermal Electromotive Force (EMF)
Over the years, test and measurement companies have sought for a feature in relays that provides an accurate reading at low current. This is important because at very low current, there is a tendency for inaccurate measurements to occur, thus causing false readings. This feature is referred to as Thermal Electromotive Force (EMF), and is found in a few Relays.
How To Measure Relay Contact Resistance
Relay Contact Resistance
Contact resistance is a crucial electrical characteristic. The resistance between the contact terminals determines the Relay's ability to carry current. The contact resistance is subject to change during the life of the Relay. Based on lab investigations and testing, abnormal contact resistance has often been found with the following conditions:
