These sensors can support both battery-powered and battery-free systems, with standby currents as low as 1μA, 2μA, and 6μA for the EKMB Series, and 170μA for the EKMC Series. A wide range of lens types is available, including Standard, Long Distance, Wide Area, High Density, Low Profile, and Ultra Slight Motion, in black, white, and pearl white finishes. This variety allows for flexible installation and customized detection coverage.
The new PaPIRs+ Sensors build on this foundation with significant improvements in sensitivity and versatility. Featuring a large, black-coated pyroelectric element, PaPIRs+ provides up to twice the sensitivity of conventional PIR sensors. The increased sensitivity enables the detection of even slight movements at distances of up to 17 meters, with a reduced temperature threshold of just 2°C. The all-in-one compact design integrates lens, sensor, and ASIC, streamlining development and lowering costs for OEMs. PaPIRs+ offers an expanded selection of over ten types of lenses, each available in multiple finishes and supporting both standard and ultra-low power models. This flexibility allows users to select the ideal solution for standard motion detection, ultra-slight motion, or long-distance sensing.
